What to expect

This is my first post here so pardon me if I'm in the wrong forum. I am finally in the market for a 2nd gen. 70-73 camaro. My buget is around 6000-7000 dollars. What can I expect to find in this price range as far as condition goes? RS/SS does not matter, #'s matching is not of real concern as well. My plan would be to drive it for about a year, to enjoy it, then do some sort of restoration, nothing too drastic. Can I find a decent ride in this prive range or should I save up a little longer?

Should be able to find one in relative decent shape. Watch for the ones that have been redone that are bondo over rust. The guy that bought my 70 did this and turned around and sold it for $6k. I feel for the sucker that bought it.

Check out auto trader's website and see what they're going for and in what shape.
