LT1 2nd Gen. Junky
Ok I have currently been in the process of rebuilding a mild 350 to get my 79 Z28 going again. Anyways..... I just came acroos the operunity to get a full 96 Z28 for $700 dollars, car is somewhat driveable but been wrecked on almost all four corners. So the question is how hard is it to do a LT1 and tranny swap from the 96 to my 79??? The other question is what am I gonna need to do to get the swap to work, and have any of you done this??
Thanks.....

swap
I ran into a similar situation recently. I wasn't planning on putting a LT1/T56 into my 69 camaro but the car was just too good a deal. It sounds like a good deal if you can pick up the 96 camaro that quasi-runs for that cheap. I paid 1300 for the 94 camaro i got that kinda ran but was completly totalled. I look forward to the swap for performance and gas mileage. There are quite a few people who have already put a LT1 into 2nd gens and i'm sure a few are on here and some on pro-touring.com (probably the same people here though). I'm sure you'll find out what you need to and the deal you've found will only look that much better
Good luck!
