Anbody ever replaced a dash pad on a 69 Camaro?

I bought a new dash and was wondering if there is anything I should know up front when I replace this? I also have a question......

I see how it attaches on the bottom side........but what holds it on the top side.........is it a slip hook design?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

The top has several spring clip kinda things. I'm sure there's a technical name.... but I don't know it. lol Also, there are 3 studs that are located above the glove box. It's easiest to remove the box all together to get to them, and then there is one more stud just to the right of the climate controls that has to be reached from below.

Have fun!

So.........on the spring clip things.......do you slide the dash pad forward to release them? Or backwards?

Once the screws are out and the nuts on the studs removed, the dash pad will lift up and then slide towards the rear of the car and out. Once you have it out, you will see the clips and how they work.
