....horn button mechanisms SUCK!

I have brand new components and the damn thing gets stuck and goes off when I hit bumps.

Are there any options to wire up an external button somewhere - maybe wire it to the center consile door - a nice big red button that says "Eject" or something like that?

There is a mod to do this and I've seen it.. They guy had a, like a doorbell buzzer, mounted on the dash. You just have to figure out what color the wire is. I would label the button, " You F-in A. H"

I have to just about jump on my horn to get it to beep.

I bought a $3 momentary toggle in RED and wired t up - one wre into the hole in the colum where the sprng goes in and the other wire bolted to the steering wheel bolt. I just have to figure out where on my steering wheel to mount it on - I may drill holes on the area where the two spoke meets the wheel - there is already a hole there where the alum finished spoke cover bolts on to the wheel. That way I can get two horn buttons on each end of the wheel. I will see and post pics when I do it.

Yeah, my horn setup is retarded also. How complicated did GM have to make that mechanism in the steering wheel anyway? I took mine apart and had a passenger seat FULL of parts. Needless to say, I'm still hornless and just not motivated to buy a replacement horn setup. That just means my middle finger gets that much more of a workout
