I have a set still, and no longer have the car/engine they were going on. I've tried eBay twice but the never get above $125. I've tried the classified here and racingjunk.com

What should I expect to sell them for? I thought I was being pretty reasonable considering the condition of the heads (tanked, gasket matched, hardedned seats, roughed in for 2.19/1.88 valves, etc. They are really nice heads... and are the highest flowing Gen 4 GM BBC head on the Chevy High Performance list in its runner volume class.

How come I can't even give these things away hardly? I even had one guy tell me that noone wanted oval ports becuase they were low hp heads and used only on trucks and smogger applications. I just rolled my eyes at that.

Whats the deal?

 

I saw a bare set of 049 heads sell for $75. I'd like to get a set for my SS454 pickup at some point in time, but right now my engine is running awesome so I'm in no hurry to mess it up.
