cam choice in a 327 in a 67 camaro

hello guys... my ole man is in the process of building a AWESOME looking butter nut yellow 67 camaro. it will be all stock looking minus a 2" drop all the way around and possibly wheels. its gonna be a 4 speed car and not driven very often.. just to shows and what not.

my question is what would be a good cam for this motor? its pretty much all stock minus a intake and 500cfm carb from a ZZ4 crate motor. he does have a 650 and a 750 carb too just in case it needs bigger. what we are looking for here is mostly sound and being able to drive it still w/o idle issues. i love how the 112 cams sound in the LT1s so it needs to have a good lope to it. basically this is a show car and it needs to sound damn good. power isnt really an issue since its not a race car.

if you can at least get me in a ball park for a cam that would be great. this is going to be my ole mans b-day present along with some dougs ceramic long tubes and chamberd header back exhaust.. thanks

the "Thumpr" cams from Comp make good power and sound great. If it is for cruising and not racing I'd consider one. Probable the smaller of the series.

cam

How about a voodoo cam by lunati... two of my buddys run these cams in a 350 with stock heads and they make good power off idle till like 6000rpm

Part# lun-60102lk.... 219*/227 468*/489* 1400-5800rpm range(listed)

They both have true duals with longtube headers though....

They sound good too me.........
