well if you're just looking for sources, check the yellow pages, local engine builders probably have some, and sometimes you can get em pretty cheap too,
my favorite story is my most recent buy of an old set of 487X heads from the original LT-1s, came off a corvette and i had em completely done up for a total of $400 for the heads and the rebuild fees, found the guy who had em, in the yellow pages, local machinist who is now my go to guy for anything i need machined

for cams, call up a local grinder who comes highly recommended, and give him your combo, or call up a bigtime grinder like comp cams or crane cams and give them your combo and your desired driving and what not, then summit is likely going to be cheapest
Re: Best place to buy heads?
For another option on heads these guy sometimes offer some good dealsClick here Summit and Jegs do offer good deals due to Wal-Mart like high volume they deal in, but there are other places also and I cant remember the number of sites I've come across that were actually cheaper than the summit/jegs...just takes some serious investigation on your part.
Local shops can often match what the magazines sell them for, only down fall is you have to pay state taxes on the purchase, even by spending a few dollar more IMO it's worth it to help out the local guys and keep them in business.
For your 425hp mark, a set of worked vortec will easily reach that goal and allow you to run lower timing overall to get it due to effeicent design. Not as cool to say your running vortec, but if you find a shop that's modern in thinking I think you'll be pleasently suprised at what they can gete out of them. Link above has vortec packages that are rady to bolt on and accept larger cams so you dont need to do any leg work other than placing the order.
Cam wise, many that know me from other boards know I dont really push Comp or Crane since there is alot of marketing dollars at work for name recognition and not so much into optimizing grinds. If you want more power for the same price get ahold ofBullet Camshaft The guys that bought out and now run this shop are the guys that got Comp, Crane, Lunati on the map and invented the dual pattern grinds. More with less, cams cost same price as the over advertised grinders but you get more out of them with improved valve timing/lobe design.

This info is exactly what I needed. Just some extra leads, thanks guys. This car has been my project for the last 4 years and I am finally able to put some money into it. I hope to have it complete by September because it will be the "get-away" car at my wedding. Thanks!
Re: Best place to buy heads?
I bought some off of ebay. Go to ebay and type in yoders performance and he sells brand new casting assembled dart heads. I bought a pair of iron eagles with spring good up to .600 lift. 230 runners and 64cc chambers for $895 shipped. I got them and they are definately brand new.
