another 327 question.
another 327 question.
I found a 327 out of a 60's something municapality car and the guy who pulled it out told me it has been sitting since 1974. Well it has camal hump heads or "fuelie" it has original powerglide still attached. besides what it worth if I got the #'s off of it could someone here tell me what it is. I lost my little decode book I got from summit years ago. I know it has never been bored or dissassembled but needs rebuilt.
Re: another 327 question.
Chances are its just a run of the mill 275 HP 327 they were common in the late 60s fleet cars taxis, police cars,ETC .. nothing really special about them good engine for a mild build the camel hump heads were on most of the 65-67 s .
Re: another 327 question.
you can go to mortec.com and run the casting numbers for the heads and block. if its earlier than 68 it will have a small journal crank and rods, todays standard one came in 68 and newer. some of the older camel back heads were pretty good for a hp motor. good luck
