"71" 350 into "96" vehicle

Maybe this needs to be posted in the later years, but I will start here. I have a 1971 rebuilt motor and I am wanting to swap it into a 1996 350 chevy truck. I know the intake and heads wont work, but will the parts from the 96 bolt up to the older block. I am wanting to retain the emissions on the 96, so I was not sure if it was even feasible.

Unless that truck motor is LT based I'm pretty sure that all parts should be interchangeable. I could be wrong about that though, I don't know a whole lot about the differences in the truck motors.

The '71 LT1 is not a '96 LT1.

They are two very different motors.

If the truck does indeed have a 92-97 LT1 motor in it then parts are not interchangeable.
