Whistle?
Hey bro. You know, my fuel pump went when my car had about 60,000 miles on it. I'm not saying your fuel pump is going to go when it hits that, but i knew right away it was my fuel pump when I went outside to start my car. I turned my car on and had to get something inside my house, when i stepped out of my car and was walking around the rear end of my car i heard this whining noise. I knew right away it was that. I was putting it off until the right time to do it, until one day i was driving around and i went to floor the gas pedal, and it seems like my car started slowing down. The fuel pump actually started failing when i tried giving it a lot of gas. What i had to do to get home and to drive around my car the next couple of days, was just drive the car lighty. I know you said it's not your radio/speakers because you can turn your radio off and you can still hear a whistle. But when my fuel pump was going, i really don't remember hearing it from inside my car. But i have to admit, maybe it is your fuel pump. How many miles do you have on your car? Oh, and if it is your fuel pump... your not going to like the outcome.... $$$$! My uncle is a mechanic, and to get to the fuel pump, you have to cut the STOCK exhaust out and drop the gas tank, so I had to make sure my tank was near empty. Anyways, the fuel pump ALONE was about $400 something brand new... It sucked... Trust me
But he did the fuel pump and installed the new exhaust at the same time, and charged me one price.
