ive seen a lot of rockford stuff go bad. i havent used them in over a year because of the direction the new ownership had taken them. i have heard that things have gotten better, but will never use the line again. ive owned 4 boss amps, and installed numorus others, and never had one fail. i cant count the rockford products ive seen bite it. its not all about numbers, put one against the other and youll hear a difference.

The most likely reason your sub blew was due to user error. I'm not trying to degrade anyone, but Eclipse makes a lot of decent stuff. Just a little over priced IMO.

And I think there's a guy that hangs out over at www.ls1.com and www.fbodyaudio.com that makes 12" driver's sides. BJ Nolan I think? Also, see this thread.

in regard to the blown sub..... the only speaker line i have heard nothing bad from are the titainiums. if you blow one of those, i would have to agree with user error.

i had a 100% eclipse system, i had problems with point source speakers, and with 1 sub. but i only used the graphite. from my exp with eclipse, they make a great non-speaker product. i have never used a deck as good as theirs. from a true music fanatic, there were things i heard in my music after installing the eclipse deck, that i had never heard. ive run JVC, pioneer, and kenwood, but they just dont measure up.

If you really want my opinion, i would stick with a 10 for the stealt box. if you are only looking for a lil extra boom, youll most likely enjoy the sound of a 10 more.
