werid problem... im confused... need help

ive had the same setup for a while now... all of a sudden when im driving for a long time and my music is turned up pretty high the sound will turn off for about 20 seconds then resume, then 2 minutes later again the sound will turn off for about 20 seconds again and so on... seems to only happen when my volume is high and ive been driving a long time... its almost like when you hit a hard bump and it stops for a couple seconds - same thing... it doesnt matter if its the cd playing or radio playing... im pretty stumped here... anyone know whats goin on?

I have almost the same problem that vinnyxgunz has. But I have the factory acdelco radio and the factory bose speakers. If I have an amp it's the factory amp. I haven't put any aftermarket stereo equimpment in my car.

Anyone have any thoughts?

thanks

Sounds like your amp is clipping out... Its overheating, which could be any number of reasons. is it in a well ventilated place?? hows the wiring, did you install it, what gauge power wire? is it bolted or screwed down tightly, does it move???

At worst case something is crapping out inside the amp...
