Which sub for stealthbox?

I just ordered the stealthbox from subthump and need a sub to go along with it. I was told to look at the ED, Alpine type-r, and the rockford fosgate he2. I know I need a dual 2 ohm, but i'm not sure which sub would work best. My amp is a 140 watt kicker. I'm mostly looking at the he2 and the alpine type-r, but i'm not sure which one would be better. Any suggestions?

I would recommend the Alpine Type-S over the Type-R. Here's why. The more cone area you have the more air the sub will move. The more air it moves the louder it is. The Type-R has an oversized surround which means that it has less cone area to move the air. Whats the point in having a 10" sub with the cone area of an 8" sub? If you are going to have more than one subwoofer the Type-R would be a good choice. But since this is a single subwoofer application you want as much cone area as you can get.

I used to have a JL 10W3 in my Vantage Stealthbox. While the 10W3 is an excellent sub it just wasn't a good match for the .6 cubic feet of volume in the Vantage box. I switched to the Type-S and it out performs the JL in every way in the Vantage box.

The problem is that the subthump stealthbox is .5 cubic feet, and the type s needs atleast .65 cubic feet. Will it still work?

Thats the nice thing about sealed enclosures. They're very forgiving when it comes to slight mismatches between the sub and the enclosure.

The 10W3 I had was supposed to work well in a .6 cubic foot enclosure but the Type-S blows it away in the same enclosure.

So the .15 cubic feet extra that the type s needs is not that big of a deal? How could you compare the type s with the rf he2?

I haven't had the chance to check out the RF sub before.

with that power i would pick the Elemental Designs Kx over the type R.... The HE is likely going to get the loudest out of the three, but the Type R and Kx will sound a good amount better....
