Question Speaker Wiring

my 98 came stock with 6-speaker (2 front door, 2 in side panel, and 2 in rear seat side panel) but my cd-recievers has only 4 outputs for speakers, so only 4 speakers could be wired to the in-dash reciever so how would i wire the remaining speakers can i just join them with the other speakers or is there a a wiring attachment for the reciever

Re: Speaker Wiring

the best way is to replace the speakers, run new wiring, add some subs, and go from there... short of that, get a head unit wiring adapter from any local audio shop, and wire the speakers in that way. The wiring coming out of your factory deck is only 4ch anyhow, and then the rear audio goes through a sort of crossover. using this will provide the easiest way to change things later, as it doesnt require you to cut any wires in your car itself. you can also remove all of your aftermarket equiptment quite easily should you decide to change.
