speaker wire

speaker wire
I have about 30 feet of speaker wire (don't ask) going from my amp to my box with 2 10's.

If I were to cut that down to say.....8 feet, would the sound and bass get better?

On paper it will indeed help, but your ears are not gonna notice the difference. Why not cut off.....oh I'll say ...... 27 FEET!!!?

Cuz my amp is like 3 feet from the box, and I move the box around a lot. Mostly on the decklid or down in the t-top area, needed some slack

But 30 feet?!!? That's damn near two entire car lengths!!!

I was planning on runnin all of the wire under carpet and panels, guess i over estimated.
