What if you have the monsoon system?

Best bet is to get a new deck or amp; and run wires to each speaker. Theres really no way to add aftermarket speakers with out doing this. Each speaker is crossed over specifically with the Monsoon. Kinda ****ty..

CDT Classic or High Definition series speakers are fantastic. CL-61's come with two rear fill speakers for free. Very clean, detailed sound with excellent mid-bass.

You won't be able to run the factory Monsoon speakers off of the HU alone. The woofers in a Monsoon system are all run at 2ohms. I haven't seen an HU yet that can handle a 2ohm load.

Oddly enough, the woofers in my T/A WS6 are 4 ohm. They are shot and I was going to replace them with woofers from a Z28 w/ monsoon. The connector was different and the Z28 speakers were 2 ohm.

WTF ???

Thats odd. What year is your car? The Monsoon subs in Firebirds are supposed to have dual 4ohm VC's running in parallel. The door woofers have single 2ohm VC's.
