I have a 97 TA WS6 I bought used that I cannot believe did not have a monsoon stereo. I have am, fm cassete with steering wheel controls and I am looking to see if I can just switch the head unit with the monsoon head unit only and will my steering wheel controls still work. Also does the chevy and the pontiac monsoon head units hook up the same, and is one or the other better seeing one has the EQ and the other separate bass and treble.

 

BOSE is not Monsoon, Any Monsoon CD player will fit and hook up 100%

 

Sorry dont know what I was thinking I have been looking at so much stuff can you still tell me if the chevy or the pontiac monsoon is any better than other.

 

Other than outside appearance they are basically the same. But the Pontiac radios have a 7 band equalizer.

 

Thanks for the info. Can you give me any info on a complete switch do you have to rewire stuff or are the speakers just a swap out using the same wires to hook up and what about the amp thanks.
