Question Pioneer display went blank HELP !!!

I have a Pioneer DEH-P835R in my car and the face went completely blank
(no lights or words) . But the buttons still function and control the deck
just fine . Can I just buy a new faceplate to get it to work again ? Thanks
a million

Re: Pioneer display went blank HELP !!!

Try cleaning the contacts on the back of the face plate, and on the deck.

Re: Pioneer display went blank HELP !!!

take it to a local repair shop...it's a common problem that the ribbon cable inside CD players gets damaged. A few years ago my $420 Kenwood CD player, which was no longer under warranty, did the same thing.....only cost me $70 to fix, so it was well worth it.

Re: Pioneer display went blank HELP !!!

You might look around the Pioneer site, and see if there is any info in their FAQ or Knowledge Base sections.
