Audio Folks is this possible with stock deck?

Stock CD in a TA, with the graphic equalizer.

I've decided no more subs etc for my car....speakers only.

Wouldn't you think that there would be an easy way to get a wiring harness to go from the deck to an amp, and then a harness from the amp to the speaker connector (which normally goes straight into the deck) to amplify the speaker system more than what the stock deck will do?

I actually like the look of the stock deck in the dash...and the manual graphic equalizer...my car doesn't have the monsoon system - but still has 8 speakers.

well yes it IS possible....you can buy an amp that offers "speaker-level inputs".....basically you could buy a 4-channel amp and run the deck's speaker outputs into the amp as signal.....then you run new wires from the new amp to the speakers, and you'll have more power. HOWEVER, I'm not sure about the impedance of the stock speakers. If the stock speakers are more than 4 ohms, the amp will not put out full power.

I think there is an interface you can use to accomplish that. Maybe someone who knows the name and part # will chime in.
