PAC OEM-2 question
Has anyone used the PAC OEM-2? I'm currently looking to add two 12's on a 2 channel amp in my 96 firebird with premium sound. Would this be the thing to go with to add the outputs for the subs? How does this thing work? Are the outputs just jumpers off of the wires I connect to, or what?
Thanks,
Aron

I believe you need the OEM-1 NOT the OEM-2. The OEM-2 is for stereoes that use common ground speakers. Our cars don't use common ground speakers.
I used an OEM-1 a while back. It's a great unit to use since it is a plug and play type of install. There's no need to cut and splice any of the factory wirirng.
The OEM-1 is just a speaker level to line level adapter. It has level controls, 4 RCA outputs and a remote turn on lead. In order to get a clean output from the OEM-1 I had to turn it's level settings down to about 9:00 I found this setting by using an oscilloscope and a calibrated tect disc.
