Re: Newbie. Want to put in deck and subs and amp

So if I bought an amp like yours and those subs I would be ready to rock and roll? Also on that first amp you posted, would that be perfect for 600 watt subs? How would they need to be wired. My friend said they would blow.

Re: Newbie. Want to put in deck and subs and amp

i used Rockford Fosgate for my examples cause thats what i'm use to...its what i'm comfortable with...but here's a trick for you to use....go on Crutchfield and find exactly what you want, kicker subs, kicker amp, etc...and go on ebay and just paste the Product Number into the search, and look for the cheapest buy it now price from an experienced ebay store (factor in shipping cost with the buy it now price, when looking for the cheapest dealer)...

here...give me a couple more minutes...i'll come up with a kicker brand setup for ya...

Or could you do this. Match up an amp I should buy for 600 watt kicker subs that would get the most potential out of it. Don't want the amp to look ugly cuz it will be in the open. Those ones you showed me looked good. So pair up subs to the amp that I could buy. Thanks

no they won't blow...you'll want to get Dual Voice Coil subs so you can have multiple wiring options....you want to make sure you have subs that are stable at the ohms you plan on running...same goes for the amp...this is all done with wiring

I'm not sure how to match an amp to subs. I will get you a link to the subs I want.

Re: Newbie. Want to put in deck and subs and amp

here's another thing to keep in mind...you can get more powerful shiz for cheaper if you don't buy the newest generation...example, the amp and subs like mine, were just recently redesigned by rockford and are nolonger the "NEWEST GENERATION"...therefore they are much cheaper, but still pack the same punch, or close to...

Re: Newbie. Want to put in deck and subs and amp

yeah...just get me if anythign the product number...so i can get specs and match it up to a proper amp.....as for the deck...that deck you were looking at was very nice....i perosnally am running a peice of crap deck, but it doesn't matter since all my speakers are powered by amps, and i can control all the settings via the amps....a nice deck will have good RMS going to all 4 channels, and will make a difference if you have decent speakers in your car and plan on running them off the deck solely...also some decks will have a seperate channel for "subs" or just amp outs...this can be a nice feature cause you can turn up or down bass levels that only effect your subs and not your other surrounding speakers.......now i'm just rambling...haha sorry if i get off track

Re: Newbie. Want to put in deck and subs and amp

this would be a good match....you would want to bridge that amp to 2ohms so its putting out 600watts RMS, then you'll wire the subs together in a manner so that the voice coils are 4ohm, and thers a 2 ohm load being applied...
