Question mounting a circuit breaker on the battery?

pro/cons? I was thinknig of using a double sided tape to do it.
This is what I had in mind and I don't have any room to put anywhere else.

I have mine mounted in the inner fender. I have the same thing, but with a different name on it. I have it mounted basically right next to the PS resivour.

Mounting it to the Battery may be alright... Not my style though.

I would mount it somewhere else, but there's just isn't enough room. The spot by the power steering fluid is full of wires also and a transformer so there's no room. I just want to make sure that its safe for the circuit breaker to be on the battery itself. This is more of a safety question than anything else.

There is no problem with that. Just make sure to think about the usual problems that can occur..... (wire chaffing etc.) But you would have to do that for anywhere. You are suppose to have your fuse as close to the battery as possible...... that's about as close as your gonna get!

Looks fine. But how come no black wire for the ground? Of course it doesn't matter, but just looks better. Also, where you grounded it.... I don't see any paint scraped off! Is there?

I only scrapped off under the ring terminal. I didn't have any black wire to use. Only left over from the power wire, but it's ok. My friend has the same wires as I do but he has the blue power wire so I'm gonna change it to that whenever I get a chance. It's not black, but it's a different color. Also, my ground wire for my amp is blue anyway But I hope the circuit breaker will be safe being on top of the battery like that

Cool. Just making sure. ;p Yeah, you will have no problems with the breaker. Why would you think you would have problems? Hey, aren't you a mod over at www.caraudioplanet.com?

You might want to add some shrink tubing over those exposed connectors on the breaker. If the breaker should work it's way loose it could short the battery if it makes contact with the negative terminal. The heat from the engine will cause the tape under the breaker to get loose and gummy and the breaker will start to move around.

that's a good idea. I'll be sure to put some on there. My main concern is that it will be safe to put the breaker on there.
