Messed some wiring up, need help awap please...
In replacing whatever the fancier system is in a 97 WS6, I've done the folowing: hooked up my headunit, and it works. I then ran the rca cables to the back of the car to an amp, and hooked them up there. I have new components in the doors. Instead of fishing wire through the door rubber hose thing, I spliced it into the speaker wire for the midrange speaker that was already there. I BELIEVE these were the light/dark blue anmd lighjt/dark green wires. I figure this is where I messed up, because I have no sound at all coming through the speakers. The amp is on and such, wired correctly.. Any thoughts?
Rears not hooked up yet.

what components are we talking about here? did the rca cables get pushed on all the way......did they get pulled off from the head unit somehow? tell us what your amp and head unit is.....

Ok, new details, and a new question..
HU: ALpine 9851
Amp: Kicker kx 350.4
components: Last years Kenwood eXcelon 6.5
Apparently, I DID wire it correctly. That said, the setup is just super quiet. If I turn the gain way high (I know, don't do that) it becomes barely audible at 5 feet... So... I have no idea. It IS wired right. It sounds like the HU is on attenuate, but it's not.
Any thoughts now?

Are you sure this isn't your problem? I would try taking the speakers out and connecting them directly to your amp wire (before it enters the door) to see if this the problem.

I had already done that...
That said, it's working! I say it's working, becuase I sure don't think it's fixed.. Basicly, I hooked up the amp again, no worky.. I pulled it out of the car to just clean up my wiring (zip ties under the carpet and the like) and then re-hooked up the amp.. Probably the 4th time I've done this, and it started to work this time.. I have no idea what changed.. I never moved the power or ground.. Very strange, but it's quite loud now!
Definently gonna be a mystery as to what caused it though.. I SUPPOE I had a wire wrong, but this is the 4th time I re- did it, and I only had power, ground, turn on, 2 rcas, and two speaker lines, so I don't know what could hhave been messed up to get SOME sound, but very little..:S
Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions.
