Question Idea for relocation of HU

I did a search, but didnt find anything. Is it possible to fit a regular Din CD player where the HVAC controls are in a 3rd gen? Im currently stripping my car and im thinking about maybe puttign the HU up there so i have the area open for guages.

Thanks in advance

Andy

Here's alil sumtin i've heard before and i use it now and again. Trial and error. Anything is possible if you actually try to see if it can be done.

Anything is possible if you have the fabrication skills to get it done. Room is limited, I think, so the unit would have to be pretty shallow. I considered doing this in my 92, but decided not too. I'm sure I could make it work, even if I had to relocate the actual CD mechanics and just mount the Faceplate.

I think it would be a cool idea to do. Just keep in mind that the shifter will get in the way. So it depends on what kind of HU you are going to put in there especially if you have an auto. Will suck if you had to put your car out of gear to put/take a cd

I suggest this route. It's not even NEARLY as hard as you may think.

Isn' it always . Actually I wouldn't suggest it to anyone without some kind of mechanical talent though. If you have ever broken a toaster or coffee machine I would find a reputable shop to do it.
