Question Do I have the Monsoon system?

I have a 97 T/A WS6 and I'm thinking of buying a complete monsoon system for cheap out of a 99. Before I spend any money, I was wondering if anyone can give me a hand. My head unit does not have the word "Monsoon" on it so I don't think I have the monsoon set-up, do I? What's the difference between the stock system and Monsoon system? Will there be a noticable difference in sound? Also, how hard is it to swap these systems?
Thanks,
Tyler

Buying a POS Monsoon system is a terrible waste of money. It is nothing but an over hyped, under powered, distortion producing, speaker blowing hunk of junk. Do you and your ears a favor and buy an after-market system.

Definately go aftermarket instead, putting in a monsoon system is a waste.

Go Aftermarket.

I would love to replace my Monsoon with an aftermarket one, but I don't want to spend the money just for better sound.

Performance mods > Sound system. IMO.

No matter how fast you are, there is always someone faster. I think owning a sports car is all 'bout personal enjoyment. Going fast is cool, but when your on a road trip or just cruising to in traffic school I think a stereo is more enjoyable than 30 extra RWHP. IMHO of course . Plus stereo's don't HAVE to get that expensive to get good sound. Just gotta know what works with what to get the job done for cheap .
