Having a problem with the volume on my car.

I know that probably sounds like a stupid title for a post but anyway. The volume on my car is constantly turning itself down. I am not sure if there could be a short or something stuck in the steering wheel controls or if something could be wrong with my head unit. My whole system is stock if that helps any. It will stay at a constant volume sometimes but then sometimes it will just start to automatically turn itself down.

Is there any way to turn off the steering wheel controls so I can try to isolate my problem.

Thanks alot guys.

If you want to disable the steering wheel controls you can simply just disconnect the control plug behind the radio.

I have the exact opposite problem... my car likes to randomly turn itself up! That's even worse.

It just starts turning up and doesn't stop until I turn it back down manually.
