Factory amp info for everyone
Factory amp info for everyone
Well after tracing wires for four days from the back of the car to up behind the dash I found out where the rear amps get power from and I just thought I would share with everyone since noone was able to tell me.
Inside the dash in between the glove box and the radio is the relay that controls the rear amps. Its line power comes from the radio accesory fuse in the fuse panel( at least on my 95). Now here's the kicker. If you dont hook up your power antenna wire your factory amps wont come on. The power that energizes the coil in the relay comes from the power antenna wire from the deck. My deck didnt come with a power antenna hookup so I had to tap into the remote wire for my amps and voila!! I've got power to the rear amps.
I think they control the front ones two but I'm not 100% sure. Just FYI
