Empty Stealthbox :(
Empty Stealthbox :(
I built my own stealthbox for my car and my friend had loaned me a sub an amp for over a year because he didnt have anywhere to put them. He sold them so i gave them back.
I had:
Lanzar vibe amp
12in kicker competition
I need to pick out a 10 or 12 inch sub that will be better than the competition. I also need an ample amp to power it. I already got my box and my headunit is an older alpine. Im interested most of all in quality that can go loud. Probably most i want to spend is 200 for amp and sub.
What do you suggest. keep in mind the space in this box is around .7 cu feet so it needs to perform well in the small area. I did manage to fit the 12 in there surprisingly and it is flush but I could remake the front to make it fit a 10 inch.

Re: Empty Stealthbox :(
I've found that the 10" Alpine Type-S subwoofer seems to be a very good match for the limited volume of a Stealthbox enclosure. I used to have a JL 10W3 in a single Stealthbox enclosure and wasn't all that happy with it's performance. I switched to a single Type-S and to my ears it plays louder, goes lower and sounds much better than the JL 10W3 I had. I've since gone to dual 10" Type-S subs. You can see my setup by clicking my sig.
