Electrical Problems with my 93 LT1 Camaro...

I originally posted this in the "general" forum, but no one's replying, so I thought I'd ask the wiring experts here...

First problem: The car keeps blowing the fuse on the positive cable running to my amp in the trunk. It happens consistently, less than a minute after starting my vehicle. I've had this system for several months, so I don't know how it could be something mechanically bad...

Second Problem: The cooling fans will not kick on. I've already replaced the relays, and neither fan still kicks on. I jumped the terminals for both cooling fans, and they both kicked on no problem. A friend suggested that I may have a fusable link somewhere on my starter wire, which may have gone bad. Another guy thought that the fuse box could be corroded and needing replacement...

Third Problem: Car runs like SH*T @ ~3500 RPM, significant power loss at both full throttle and partial acceleration, cuts out bad too (above 3500), HOWEVER, if the car is not under a load (in Neutral), it'll rev to 6k+ smoothly w/o problems. The only SES code the car is throwing is 43, which is the ESC (electronic spark control), aka "knock sensor". I haven't tested the wires or sensor yet. Could it be my fuel pump going out? Could it be the stock pump can't keep up with my heads/cam/injectors setup? I never had a fuel problem in the past...The only recently added parts include some Bosch spark plugs (not the +4's), and a DELTEQ "Opti-Replacement" Ignition System. Any ideas???

Okay, well I ordered a new knock sensor, since mine's 12 years & 140k old; hopefully it will fix my problem tomorrow. As for the fans not kicking on, my friend was right- I took it up to an O'Reilly's to explain my problem to them, had the guy look at it, and he noticed it right away. Apparently the circuit boards on my fuse box were corroded to hell! So, I'll be going to the dealership tomorrow to order a new one. I also asked him why my fuse keeps blowing on my amp. He said it's probably something shorted out in the amp, so I'll have to make a trip to the audio store that sold/installed it and raise some hell...

Re: Electrical Problems with my 93 LT1 Camaro...

Get this. I had my amp inspected and the verdict:

The power cable got pinched between the amp and the chassis, caused a small part of the wire to burn up and short out the system. Easy fix. What's more interesting is my RPM stutter problem is gone, my car now will rev to 6k RPM smoothly while under load. Go figure. Oh well, now I just gotta wait for the local dealership to get that fuse box in, so I can find out if that fixes my fan problem...
