bose delete...

I just had a new head unit installed pioneer 3500, and got infinity6.5's in the rear, bypassed the bose woofer and am putting two kicker comp 10's in a millhouse box. My questions are, what amp? should i replace the front speakers? Also the head unit whines a little, improper ground? alternator? i'm taking it back to circuit city for them to fix, as well as the right rear speaker vibrating, but any help would be useful. thanks

Circuit City..

With Bose, I strongly reccomend the use of the IE factory amp integrator. If you plan to upgrade all interior speakers, youll be fine with out it. I doubt its a ground problem as much as the new HU and Bose amp mismatch. Definatly get something new up front, it will sound better and eliminate the Amp noise (when you bypass the POS Bose amp). Im not sure of the rating on the kickers, but Im guessing 4-600 watts will be sufficient.

The best option will be to run a monoblock amp to the subs and another 4-chanel to drive all new speakers in the front.

The front speakers are 6 3/4" but many 6 1/2" will fit fine. If the particular speakers you want will not fit, Crutchfield sells adapters. They are part number 142SAC656 ($12.00/pair).

As far as an amp goes, why not keep it Kicker! And use this 4-channel amp.

If those are a little too expensive, use this amp for the subs and the JBL P80.4 for your other speakers.
