Unhappy Troubleshooting method for fixing dome / interior lighting that won't go off?

I've read more than a few posts about this problem that each had different suggestions. I tried most of the suggestions and I still cannot isolate the problem in my car.

Sometimes, the dome lights and alarm work normally. Sometimes, the car alarm will go off at random. Sometimes, the dome lights will insist on staying on like my doors are open - even when I am driving.

I have read that other people have this problem quite frequently and there has not been much response.

I'll make a deal.. If you know anything that can help, please suggest it. Also, I will (cough cough) take my car to a dealer and work on it WITH him.. (they actually let me do that here) if I cannot fix the car myself.

Anyway.. I'll lbe willing to write an article on how to troubleshoot electrical (interior lighting) problems for the 97' (or any compatible model) Camaro. It can be posted anywhere.

Please let me know what to do to get my interior lights to work correctly!

I had an old beetle that had door pin problems as well. It was grounding or losing ground, causing the dome light to come one...
