Non Bose to Bose swap. Will it work?
Right now I got stuck without the Bose Stereo in my Z-28. I found someone who is willing to sell me their Bose stereo. The whole thing. Will everything work properly? I understand that it will most likely have to be re-wired but thats ok.
Also is the amp inside the deck and not come like under the seat or something right? Thanks alot.

A lot of people would say you are better off without the Bose, as it is much easier to go to aftermarket equipment. AFAIK, each speaker in the Bose system has it's own amp. The head unit has no internal amp. Of course if I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct this. LOL

man don't do it... you'll be working harder than it's worth. You could probably do this, but this is something I surely wouldn't take on. Don't get the bose unit, just get a real head unit and some real speakers up front. work on a sub when you get some cash together. You'll be much happier with that than you would with putting all that effort in to a bose unit. There's a reason everyone replaces that. it's because there's better things.
