*sigh* I hit another road block.

Today at school I told some of my friends who are into car audio that I was thinking about getting the Adire Brahma and I didn't like the response. They said they had never heard of it and it's not name-brand stuff. We got on their website and after looking at the specs they still were bashing it. One of them said it was made with a cone or something instead of some that are made of aluminum (that's just what he said, I don't know what he was talking about). This has gotten me worried... now instead of hearing nothing but good things about the Adire Brahma I want to hear the opposite of this argument. Are there any people out there that WOULDN'T recommend this sub? Is there anything bad about it? Will it hold up or will it break easily?

Man I hope they're wrong about this but I don't want to get one of these subs and be the laughing stock of my town for spending all that money on something nobody's ever heard of if it's going to be a poor product.

If I do decide to get the Brahma I hope it's a good product so I can proove them all wrong!

Go to soundillusions.net and do a search... let all the guys read what you find and then order the sub.... seriously they don't know anything about it....
First a paper cone has a higher strength to weight ratio than aluminum.
Second the BL curve is second to NONE and the only sub that is close is the JL W7 series (look no aluminum or Ti cone there either).
Third there is only 3 subs that i am aware of that have more linear excursion than the Brahma.
Fourth Richard Clark from carsound magazine put 32,000 watts to a Brahma 15 at 80 Hz before it showed signs of audible distress.

Buy one and you will surely have the last laugh, this is definatly one serious sub.
soundillusions.net is probably the best place to get more opinions

I forgot to add that Adire Audio has some of the best customer service available anywhere.... if you have questions you can call the owner of the company and get all the answers you need.... he is a great guy i called him a couple times.

I have to say JL, me and my friends swear by them. Given I have sheaper ones than alot of these high end subs, but I bet I can keep up with them. I am about 40 rms over max, and they won't blow! That is quality if I have ever heard it. They are also more reasonably priced than some of these other subs.

I personally would go with the Brahma or the IDmax. If you go with the brahma a proven sub although not as trendy as the JL you can prove your friends know not as much about car audio as they thought they did. I run one IDmax sub in my SS and today it produced enough sound preasure to take first in a local db drag. I went up against guys with JL, Earthquake, etc edging them out. My one Idmax produced 145.4db at the windshield IASCA style no outlaw B.S. in a 2 cuft ported enclosure that fits in the well, and sounds great for SQ. The point is what ever you choose the result will more likely be determined by the install. Nothing against JL but there are alot better out there. Oh and MMAts is the real deal if you can get your hands on some. Juggernaut is a W7 slayer.

MMats seriously underrates thier products. A 1400.1 will produce about 1700 watts. A 500.1 will do about 700. They are also one of the most efficient amps on the planet. They are said to be 90% or so. Meaning most of the power used from your electrical system is put to your subs rather than turned into heat. They produce very clean tight bass.If you look at their subs their entry level stuff looks like alot of other guy's pro drivers. Go to sounddomain.com or termpro.com and do a search on some of the formentioned products and you will see what is good and what is hype. You can also go to termpro and jump to almost any manufacture website you can think of.
