nevermind about that question, i found em. would the brahma's sound just as good at lower and medium volume levels as they would at high volume levels? what kind of box would you recommend (ported or sealed) and how big for a pair of 12's? how powerful and what kind of amp would you recommend?

700+ watts each is plenty, but more is always welcome.... The MTX 81000D or the JBL 1200.1 would be great.

A 1 cube sealed box (each) is ideal, and a 1.8 cube ported box (each) tuned to 30 Hz is my personal preference... it should soud great at low or high levels

Good advice. I prefer to tune a tad lower for 1.8cube B12. Maybe around the 26Hz area? Also, I recommend the Revolution by Ampman/Adire www.ampmanaudio.com

The Revolution is only going to put out 950 to a pair of Brahmas, and i had my Brahma 12 tuned to 27, and it was just WAY too bottom heavy....... all personal choice tho.

My bad. Didn't realize we were talking about a pair...... even though it was said several times! Gettin old I guess.... Rthompson is correct. The brahma has dual 2 ohm coils. Which will give you a final 2 ohm load (nominal) Too bottom heavy? Is that possible?!?! How big was your box?

Seriously it was insane how much low end there was in the ported box that i had. It was about 1.6 cubes tuned to 27, and it absolutly shook my innards to pieces

Thanks for all the advice, one more thing though... do you think I would have enough room in a 3rd gen Camaro for a pair of 12" Brahmas? Would you reccomend two of them or do you think just one sub would be enough?

Yes, you have enough room. But, yes, one of them would probably be enough! Remember, if you get 2 of them you will have a final nominal load of 2 ohms vs. 1ohm with just one.

Ok, I've done some research here and I think I've found a good setup but I'm not sure. Take a look at this and tell me what you think...

http://www.ampman.com/DAVIDS/kits/disturbin.asp

Ok, I know the Brahma is good, but is that a good box and amp? I want to get the ideal setup and if there is something in the group of items you wouldn't recommend please tell me. I don't know much about amps and boxes (I really don't want to learn either, I just want to know if it's good) so I need to know if those are quality items.

I hope this is my last question! I think I've finally figured out what my system will look like:

Eclipse CD5442 head unit (highly recommended, crystal clear, and the company has fixed their previously existing quality control issues.)
Speakers (haven't decided on those yet, suggestions welcome!)
Eclipse 8-disc changer
and possibly the items in that link

Are there any items I need that I might be forgetting?

BTW... thanks to everyone for all your help and patience with someone who obviously didn't know what he was talking about when it comes to car audio!

That is a great amp for the Brahma.... and the Subzero boxes are great.... but it's just a sealed box. You could easily build one yourself and save some money. For speakers, you'll want a good set of components for the front. Powered by another amp. Check out the Adire Audio Kodas to match your sub! Some other good companies are Focal and CDT.

That box isn't going to fit in there, but the amp and the sub both are great....
I get to hear my first Koda component set this weekend so i will let you know how it sounds.

You will also need a wiring kit.... www.knukonceptz.com
