Xlr-v

Since the other thread was closed before I had a chance to submit, I was just wondering one thing. Is the XLR-V going to be rated at 440hp or the updated SAE rating that they gave the STS-V which is 469hp?

Re: Xlr-v

Dont quote me on this, but I think its somewhere in the neighborhood of 443 SAE HP. I believe this is different than the STS-v because of the STS's bigger bay means lower IATs.

its a cadalliac, toss the $50.00 CAI on if you have the 100k to spend comfortably.

I personally think, thats one hell of a car the way it sits.

Re: Xlr-v

so what they are saying is the 35k GTO is faster?

common GM... this is 100k make it a supercar...

and at 3800 lbs... thats 650 lbs more then the z06 that this car ought to be based on... (XLR base corvette, XLR-V z06 Based?) 650 lbs for a retractable top seems extreme...

ohh i guess that northstar is kinda heavy... and with a 440 hp... that thing ought to have one hell of an acceleration, due to the 4 valves...

HP should be 469... atleast, if not 493, like the SL55...

It's going to be interesting to see how these new V's are percieved in the international markets (ie. AMG, M, etc).

Re: Xlr-v

443hp is kind of light, compared to the competition. In this market you need to meet or top the competition.

Re: Xlr-v

Not the highest rating, remember roots-blowers kinda suck on the top end. Dont forget that the little 4.6L is making a ton of torque down low now and that how mercedes-benz goes so fast.

Re: Xlr-v

I love the XLR-V. It has more power then some and less then other competitors but I believe its the lightest. Plus the best looking
