You know what is so cool with that article (besides the great writing).

He races all those expensive, and exotic cars, old muscle cars... and wins with ease. Then he rolls up against two modern pony cars and get's killed. Too cool.

I absolutley love the new Z06 though, and would take it over a 600+ Cobra or F-body any day.

Badass story.

But he says, "The V-8 in this car is 7.0 liters big, 1.3 liters larger than the regular Vette's."

Make it front wheel drive with a 2.4 Ecotec and I'll still want it simply based on the fact that it's hot as hell.

Then at the very end of the story, he mentions a Camaro. Huh? He was racing a Cobra and a Trans-Am.

Re: Interesting article on the C6 Z06

The interesting part of the Z06 is that while some people notice the differences of appearance, more don't realize it. On several occasions, (earlier this summer) I would be talking to a Camaro or Firebird owner.....and after a few minutes, it would dawn on them "holy cheese and crackers! THAT'S a Z06!!!!"..........

...or a few foolish people driving cars (who should know better) who constantly try to drag race you on Gratiot or Woodward.....thinking it's simply a new C6............

The car....(yes, I'm prejudiced as hell) is simply incredible....and, as the writer says, it's a daily driver in that the suspension doesn't punish you....even in the bad parts of Detroit.....

I'll be turning mine in on Monday......really really really feel bad to say goodbye to this particular company car.........but someone's gonna be getting a real thrill ride when they buy it!

Farewell, VIN 5100109! Great memories!

Hey Scott, he REALLY shouldn't have been beating on it like that should he? Aren't these magazine guys supposed to be a little more, I don't know, socially responsible?

YOU BETCHA! I don't know who this guy is, but I can guarandamntee you that he signed an agreement.....a "Safe Driver" agreement.......and he broke that agreement. If an employee is caught doing that, the LEAST that will happen is loss of company car privileges........up to and including immediate dismissal!

Re: Interesting article on the C6 Z06

That article is a lot better than the one that they printed in the actual magazine. I read it a few weeks ago in the barbershop waiting, for my haircut. Anyways MPH magazine kind of bashed the C6 & Z06 for being old-fartmobiles, and said anyone under 30 something could care less about the new Corvette for that reason. What a horrible magazine, it sounds like there writers are about 18 years old. Also I found many mistakes in there article in the magazine.

Whatcha gettin' next? BTW I would like to hear reviews of the company cars you get to drive. I know you bleed GM but unlike a lot of 'corprate guys' you can admit when something isn't up to snuff.
