At least the 'Bird can handle it.

Just a wild uneducated guess, I'd say the tranny, since I don't know anything about it. Then again, I suppose you could reduce the GVW and everything would be fine from a warranty perspective. Like they did on Typhoon & Syclone, predecessors that a 5.3 Colorado would overpower.

With an LS2, they could use the trans and rear out of the Trailblazer SS.

The truck would be a terror, no doubt.

A, 5.3 ZQ8 Xtreme Single cab, in Pace Blue or Imperial Blue would be just awesome Heck a 5.3 Z71 would be great, I think that the only thing besides a interior tweak and maybe a front end touch up would be the V8 it would attract alot of people.

Would require some reegineering of the rear end. Coil spring vs. leaf and probably different widths.

Alright, then when I think "rear end" I immediately think "10 bolt" or "9 inch" or something like that. guionM says that the axles are stout, but I guess it's the differential that is the problem? I'm just trying to get a clearer picture here.

He didn't say anything about the axles.

Sort of like when they used the rear end from the S10 in the fourth gens?

Re: Would a 5.3 Colorado.....

Definetly the rear end. People are breaking them with the original 5cyl.

This is like the second this has come up right? Should they start using: ?

Ahhh ok, thanks for clearing it up. So it's the rear in general, just like the 4th gens. Damn....
