Re: What does the 5th gen need for you to buy it?
Just for them to make it, and be rwd. The rest can be done with enough money, ie tranny, t-tops, interior swaps and such. Basically if they made one with a new design and i actually had the money, i would buy one.
Re: What does the 5th gen need for you to buy it?
1) 6 speed
2) t-tops
3) forward looking (like the way the 4th and third gens were modern)
4) solid rear axle
5) big v8
6) usleless back seat (i love the nostalgic feel
)
7) rwd
8) 30k cost wise
most of all, it needs to be a muscle car, i don't want any of this fancy look at me i am a handle master wanna be m3 mustang. the camaro was, is, and always will be a muscle car. make it one

Styling aside, as that seems to be decided already. I wouldn't mind seeing modern touches, ie. HID's, LED's, HUD, etc. available. However...Please do not pack the damn engine so tight, like sardines in a can, or 10lbs. of **it in a 5 pound bag! This is a big deal for many of us IMO. I'm sure some of us, might want to work on it. Also it seems a given, that interiors should be along the lines of the GTO, Cobalt SS. The obvious, an Awesome V8, M6, and basically as mentioned previously, it has to be a Camaro. A stronger rear would be a big + too!

Trunk, mpg 20 city - 30 hwy, '05 GTO seats, easier access to back seats (for kids seats), tuned for lower octane fuel, displacement on demand, easy to perform routine maintenance, wheel/tire options.
Basically, a car that approaches the economy of a "conservative" car, but the ability to open it up as well at a track day ... DOD, alternative computer settings for higher octane fuel.

I don't care if it's retro!
As long as it's not as sleek and has a better engine bay than the previous gen I'll buy one.Also it should have more options from top to bottom to choose what you want and don't want.
