What changes for the 2004 Tahoe?
My fiance's dad totaled is 2001 Tahoe and has been driving a rental car for a couple of weeks so that he can get a 2004 Tahoe instead of a 2003 because the dealer told him the exterior body style was going to change similar to the change the Silverado underwent for 2003. I've seen some news around the 'net that suggests otherwise. So basically his 2004 Tahoe will look the exact same as if he had gotten a 2003. Are there going to be any other changes? Or has his rental car driving the last couple of weeks pretty much gone to waste?
This what you want?

That's my understanding as well.
Furthermore, there were relatively no changes from 2002 to 2003... except for a higher sticker price.

Hydroboost brakes are a different type of power assist system.
Normal power brakes use engine vacuum for their power assist.
Hydroboost uses power steering fluid for the assist. The P/S reservoir is larger and it has another high pressure line out of the pump that leads to the booster and of course another return line back to the reservoir.
GM's been using them for years.
It helps in the transition from full throttle application (no engine vacuum) to a full panic stop (where full vacuum would be needed for full brake assist).
