In one sentence you managed to
Talk down to us as "kids". I'm 24 which may be a kid to you since I'm nearly half your age, but I'm very comfortable being an adult, thanks.
and
Insinuate that we are too stupid to understand what you were trying to say - we knew exactly what you were saying.

Play innocent if you want, but the fact that most of what you've said is out of disdain for VW and for younger generations is pretty out in the open at this point.

Let it go.....

Who pissed in Doug's Cheerios in this post??

I thought the ads are pretty cool, and gave VW much needed attention, even if I would never touch one of their products. Plenty of peopel will be interested in the GTI from these ads I bet. At least get them in the showrooms to test drive one.

Nobody really.....I simply gave my opinion and some of the import car nut swingers took offense.

You see, this was my simple point....."funny" is a subjective term....but show me where "funny" relates to sales...any more than the shouting reverb examples....both are offensive to me, for a purchase this large.

The 24 YO's seem to think the world revolves around them and by some figures in this very thread, this litttle bastard of a car can be priced at nearly $30k....

Most 24 YO's I know aren't spending $30k on a crackerbox of a car....when much cheaper vehicles are available.

BTW, I do have 26 & a 19 YO kids, so I don't "disdain" the young folks, just the one's who think they already know everything...no more disdian than they seem to hold for people of my age anyway.

I thought you said you wanted to drop it? If you'd like to keep calling me out, I'll keep swinging. Give it a rest.

There's plenty to be said about me, I'm sure, but there's sure as hell plenty that could be said for you as well. Drop it, or bring it to PMs.

If this childish bickering over absolutely nothing useful continues, I will start limiting individual account access to this particular forum so no one needs to wade around it.

If this applies to you and you like posting here, I suggest you weigh your words carefully before you feel you are going to crap all over the place with pointless arguing that will always lead to nowhere. If you MUST always get the last word in, take it to PM or e-mail.

This is not the Lounge and it will not turn into the Lounge. This is one of the best Future Vehicle forums on the Internet and it will stay that way.
