I am no fan of VW, but I will give it to them for making a commercial that is very different from the same other crap we are so used to seeing from the other car manufacturers.

I give VW props. As for people saying "Oh they're not super fast," remember that brute power is not what the general public wants and this IS a 14 second car. If people wanted a fast car over everything else the F-body would still be alive; but it's not.

how about the R32? anybody know the pricing for these? I saw one at a local event (CCPR) and it was extremely competent in a roadcourse. I would imagine the next generation R32 with the new 3.2 engine will be a blast to drive.

Are these the same guy who keeps saying "V-dub" and sounds terribly stupid? If so, I think they are the dumbest commercials to come around. I don't mind them smashing ridiculously ugly ricer cars but the whole thing is pretty stupid otherwise.

Don't watch too much TV, but I just saw my 1st three "Unpimp mein auto" commercials.
These are the funniest car commercials since that SSR commercial involving kids sucking on bars of soap.

But does "funny" equate to sales? Could these commercials be any more gay?
I want to know what the car will do and what it offers that the competition doesn't...I also don't want a car that looks like it came from the trash can at an abortion clinic....
I'll get my laughs from Beavis & Butthead.....

all commercials should be a sales man standing there, preferably wearing something boring that you'll never remember after the fact. that trusted car sales man, because you know how car sales men are all trustworthy, should stand there with a posterboard and explain in detail the differences between the car in question and its closest competition. all cars should also look exactly the same, with the design inspired by the "standard automobile shape" which is based on a colbolt, because thats the posterchild of coolness.
i totally agree, funny and interesting commercials suck, i expect BORDOM when i'm watching tv. the people who make superbowl commercials have it all wrong.

How much did a spooky stalker guy with a King mask on have to do with BK's product selection? OK, now how much buzz did it generate?
What about the budweiser frogs? Geeze man... I bet if you took a random survey, 4/5ths of the most memorable ad campaigns out there had absolutely no objective connection to the product they sold; but people still remember the ad, talked about it, and remembered the product it was associated with.
