a vette question
Let me quote
"Briggs Cunningham is fondly remembered by racing enthusiasts as the private American citizen who took on the mighty European racers of the early ’50s by challenging them at Le Mans. Cunningham also produced a small number of road-going, race-ready sports cars. Briggs Cunningham III and Bob Lutz, vice chairman of General Motors, were planning to bring the Cunningham name back to the road. In fact, a mockup of the C-3 was shown at the 2001 Detroit auto show. But a legal dispute among the principals of Cunningham Motor Co. has killed the whole project. Operations have been suspended indefinitely."
Does anyone think that this will have an effect on the new vette, this car had a v12, do you think the next gen will have one as well? I figure that something from this car has to carry over to the new vette. i have already heard the the xlr/cien styling was based on the new vette in another post, but do you think that this car could share some styling ques as well?

The Cunningham car was not going to based on any existing GM product. The only thing it was to share was the XV12 that Cadillac is putting into production. In short, theres nothing Vette related to that car. The XLR (not Cien) is based on the C6 Y-body platform, however the Caddy is to be significantly different than the Vette. Think of it as less sporty, and more GT.

v12
The cunningham v12 was going to be shared with the caddilac cien. Cunningham went out of buisness (before he got started) and both cars got axed. The v16 cadillac concept is pretty cool though.
