I've driven an early TB SS, and it is not what I would call "clumsy". Even the stock one is "capable" on the street. About every publication I've seen really likes the GMT360s, with the biggest complaint being the dash on the Trailblazer. They are solid, quiet, decently quick, decently roomy SUVs in "regular" form. The SS version is damn quick (for an SUV, or a car for that matter), and has the ride/handling/braking to match (for an SUV). One can certainly debate the pointlessness of making a tall, heavy vehicle like an SUV into a performance machine. But the existance of the X5, the new Land Rovers, the Jeep, the AMG ML class, the Cayenne, etc. illustrate that at least a few people out there would like to drive such a vehicle.

Anyway, thanks for letting us know they aren't capable on the street...

Whoa, wait a minute...so even with the new "value pricing," we STILL have a $2,000 rebate? I give up...this is really starting to **** me off. The whole point of the value promise thing is to LOWER rebates, not introduce cars with $2k on the hood!! I love GM dearly, but this is getting a little ridiculous.
GM's rebate binge continues...but admittedly, that is a sweet deal for a sweet truck.

Rebates, in general, will never go away....
GM has said that Value Pricing doesn't make incentives go away, but they should be more of a "deal closer" and a "main reason to buy"...

I know Darth...I realize that....but $2,000 on a car barely anyone has seen yet? I mean, I haven't even seen an '06 on the lots!!! Remember, rebates used to mean "this is our way of clearing out leftovers." We can't have leftovers if they haven't even hit the lots yet!! So why not offer a $500 rebate and lower the MSRP another $1,500?
Now THAT would be something special. Keep the $$ on the hood for the buyer expecting something, but draw more in with a lower MSRP. And, then your resale doesn't look as awful.
But to have $2,000 on the hood of something barely out, to me, is a joke

In a way, I don't like these rebates/discounts..
Cause now I'm starting to wonder, gee, maybe I should just hold off and see if they'll be having those discounts and rebates later on..
cause it sucks to buy a Vehicle.. and suddenly in 2 months, its going like $5000 less than you bought it for... especially the trucks!
