I'll have to hit a dealer lot tomorrow at lunch.

What about gas mileage? Didnt see that anywhere on the specs. Ofcourse if gas mileage is a main concern this isnt the vehicle for you. Just wondering if anyone knows? Now I need to convince the lady she needs this and not a pickup to tow her horse around in.

Spec page on the website lists MPG for TB SS at 14/17.
Re: TrailBlazer SS starts at $33,600
I read the title and was like "YEEEAAHHH!!!" The TB SS is one of the few new vehicles that I like and might even be able to afford. There is really nothing else out there that will be fast enough for me and be able to tow my 96 impala SS safely for under $40k.
I am waiting until the new 6 speed automatic becomes available though, and I hope they add DoD to the LS2 soon
Imagine 0-60 in the mid 5s and still being able to get over 20mpg

I bet at invoice pricing (if that's possible) you coudl get it for 31,000... then maybe take 2000 off max if you have GM card points, so I could see getting this for 29,000 + tax which is amazing considering we paid a couple grand more than that for our 4Runner.
edit: I assumed that the SS trailblazer would come standard with almost all options but apparently that's not the case... the 33,600 seems to be for an LS model with the 6.0, which wouldn't even have leather, I think. So I wouldn't doubt if you loaded it up as well as our 4Runner (minus the obvious performance improvements all around) it'd be near 40 grand before discounts.

Re: TrailBlazer SS starts at $33,600
Of course we will...we're GM dealers!!!! Regional price adjustments are part of the fun of buying a new GM product!! If we can botch a launch for GM and make a buck at the expense of getting a potentially loyal customer and/or forcing GM to add a $9,000 rebate to the car at the end of the model year when this new "gotta have product" doesn't sell, we'll do it!!!!

Re: TrailBlazer SS starts at $33,600
$33,600....... Well, better than $39,995 I suppose.
But is that really a good deal? I don't know. To ME, that seems like alot of cash for a truck based, 5 passenger vehicle, with cloth interior.

My brother payed close to 30k for one with the I6 3 years ago! Compared to that it looks like a deal.

You hit the nail on the head.
Vehicles like the Trailblazer SS and Grand Cherokee SS are still very clumsy, poorly packaged, midsized SUVs. They aren't capable offroad or on the street.
If you combine a monster drivetrain with a really horrible SUV, you still have a really horrible SUV!
