Someone explain why the LNF isn't available in the Malibu. Ecotech fuel economy and more power than HFV6. Add the Stage II kit and you've got 300 hp/340 ftlb and 30+ mpg. Price it the same as the HFV6 package.... what's the downside (other than it's FWD, of course)? I could definitely see this replacing my wife's Impala in a few years.
Interesting. As much as I'd love an LNF Malibu, if GM were to offer the LNF in the Impala AND give it a nose update (ala Malibu), I'd probably like that even better. (Provided it also gets the A6.)
In the HHR the LNF gets the exact same mileage as the 2.4L, 29mpg. My guess would be that a LNF Malibu with a 6 speed auto would get an EPA rating of 30-32mpg.
