Re: A test of FAITH.....

Well, you know Steve da Wrench and I will be a part of this in any way we can. Due to the expense of flying in from Oregon, we'll have to see if we can talk someone in the area into letting us borrow a spare room or put sleeping bags on the floor. Of course, we'd love to be in on a summit.....BTW, why haven't we been in on the ones in Bowling Green?
For those of you going to B.G. this year, we're planning on another big SSOA day and of course, anyone and everyone is/are always welcome to hang with us throughout the event and on the Back Porch at the Continental Inn every evening.

Baaaahhhh.......never too busy to hang and discuss these important matters! Let's make it a point to hook up one way or another in September (if you're going, that is).

Except, I'm not going to that flea bag hotel next to Jerry's next time. Oh what was it's name? The sheets were filthy and I requested a wake up for 6:00 AM. Never got it. Went all the way down there for the "summit" and almost missed it.

Yes, this sounds like a great idea and I would like to help out. I am not exactly sure what assistance I can offer so please email me and then we can discuss it. I live about an hour and fifteen minutes northeast of Detroit and would happily invite my Camaro friends to the house to plan for such an event.

While I am new to the board most of you know me, and for those of you who do not, I look forward to meeting you!

Damn........if I didn't live way across the country and have no available time to get off work I'd love to be a part of this.

This sounds like probably the most fun thing I have heard of in my short lifetime. I would definitely be interested, once you all get the details sorted out I will see what I can do. That's a long drive from Denver in January though... (flying = no)

Charlie,

When my fiance and I went 2 years ago, we stayed at the Ramada Inn in BG...it was one exit below the Museum, but it was a nice place and we only paid around $60/night. Maybe you wanna check out that one? Its listed on hotels.com. Assuming we go this year, we'll probably stay there again despite being a little further from all the action.

Its pretty funny because her and I were just talking the other night about BG. We were supposed to go to the beach for 4 days in August, but she said she'd rather go to BG again. Now, how many other 21 year old females do you guys know that would rather hang around with a bunch of gearheads than lie on a beach??? That's my girl!

Re: A test of FAITH.....

I've been to BG many times. I highly recommend staying down at exit 22 (Vette Museum is exit 28). There are some nice motels right off the highway, including a Hampton Inn, Drury Inn, and others. There are some cheap ones, too. Lots of places to eat (For example, Outback is next door to the Drury and right across the street from the Hampton).

Better make your reservations quick though.
