I live in Sterling Heights so I'll be there.
HardRock might be a good place to meet up before (or after)

Re: A test of FAITH.....

Doug,

The most fun thing about F Body Gathering 2003 was the summit. So yeah, I can gas up the GP and head on out Hope the weather holds out, but then again I've got burly-a** snows for it anyway

PM me and let me know what the New England chapter of this event can do!!! Its funny, before you started this thread I had already asked my fiance if she wanted to go to NAIAS with me. In her words, "Hell Yes!!" I planned to go to BG this year, but this has to take top presedence over BG, and I can't afford both me thinks

Like I said, PM me and lets get going! I can round up at least a few others...

With all the super bowl prep going on, something should be nearing completion around then and you may be able to squeeze in with the new space this year.

Thanks for the offer. But to be honest it’s not so much about missing school or not having the money (well in a sense).

Over the Christmas break which runs through the middle of January I work at my internship. The amount of money I can make working for just a few weeks can set me up pretty nicely for the entire semester.

HOWEVER, I won’t say no just yet. I’ll look at this a little more seriously in the Fall and see what I can do.

I’ve never been to the NAIAS and I’d love to meet some of the regulars in this forum seeing how I’ve been posting here for nearly 5 years now, so I’ll just leave it at “We’ll see” for now.

I'm most likely going to be there too.

I'll be going with Jada Toys, the company I'm working at right now.

Should be fun.

You live in the metroplex right? Where you going to school? I know I talked to you on AIM quite a while back but details escape me fast.

Re: A test of FAITH.....

What a fantastic initiative and idea, Doug! I know that there will be at least 5 or 6 people from the Toronto area who go every year... this would be the biggest motivator of all to get even more to take the run down the 401 to Detroit. I'm definitely in!

Best regardSS,

Elie

Who wants to put their money where their mouth is?

Who wants to help me organize a Detroit Summit...in the same way I have done the Bowling Green Summits for the last few years?

Jason? Chris? Michigan Camaro Club guys? Red? Bob? John Boy?

If I could dream out loud for a second....I'd love to find a meeting space / restaurant, ?? where we could all gather to meet & greet and prepare for the "unveiling"....

I'd also love to think that we'd get to invite Red and maybe a co-hort or two to come greet us and possibly.....quite possibly, get us a sneek peek the night before the opening to the public...probably wouldn't be able to beat the press day look...but who knows?!?

Chevy could use us as a "clinic" (of the mentally deranged) to test how the "enthusiast" crowd reacts to the new car.....hell, they did something similar for the C6 crowd.....

I'm ready to get started on the planning.....anyone wanna' help?!? (BTW, no tire kickers, I need real do-ers!)

me and my car club would love to step in and help you out we are located in Detroit... im me and lets talk

I'm just imagining 200 enthusiasts gathering around waiting for the show to open, and Chevy employees just standing there like "Whoa."

Scott how many have to show up to get you to quit smoking? Also how much sweet tea should we bring, there should be plenty of ice in Detroit in Jan.
