Exclamation A test of FAITH.....

OK, I think most of us are convinced (as much as we can be) that something very interesting will be shown at the 2006 NAIAS......not that we have ANY real evidence from Chevy....but the signs are there.

For the years since it's "hiatus" we've been told to "KEEP THE FAITH"....well......who here wants to take that leap of faith and go to Detroit with me?

Who wants to put their money where their mouth is?

Who wants to help me organize a Detroit Summit...in the same way I have done the Bowling Green Summits for the last few years?

Jason? Chris? Michigan Camaro Club guys? Red? Bob? John Boy?

If I could dream out loud for a second....I'd love to find a meeting space / restaurant, ?? where we could all gather to meet & greet and prepare for the "unveiling"....

I'd also love to think that we'd get to invite Red and maybe a co-hort or two to come greet us and possibly.....quite possibly, get us a sneek peek the night before the opening to the public...probably wouldn't be able to beat the press day look...but who knows?!?

Chevy could use us as a "clinic" (of the mentally deranged) to test how the "enthusiast" crowd reacts to the new car.....hell, they did something similar for the C6 crowd.....

I'm ready to get started on the planning.....anyone wanna' help?!? (BTW, no tire kickers, I need real do-ers!)

Doug, I live 20 minutes from Cobo, and attend NAIAS every year. PM me with some details of what you have cooking, if you want. Sounds like fun!!!

Re: A test of FAITH.....

I'm in, I was just stating on LS1Tech's midwest forum how I wanted to be involved in something like this. I can talk to the president of the club I belong to, as well as post a thread on MiFbody.com and see how many people I can get with this.

If it helps, I'm going to a car show July 20th that a high ranking Chevy designer (reports straight to the Vice President of Chevy) and I can see what kind of tips he can give us on getting in for a "sneak peak." He already confirmed it's going to be there.

Ill rally the troops over at NJFBOA. I know a few of them go each year...but this could be more incentive to get a much larger group to go.

(Any idea on the dates?) I'd like to book well in advance so I don't get left behind.. and can't change my mind later on.

Count me in, DEFINITELY!

I know of at least one other MFBA guy that's coming with me, maybe a couple others too.

If I can get away, I'll go. Look into some armored transport for us to and from the show

Do it! GM will practically have to have something there. And if not, they would have to speed up the process on getting a concept done.

They did it with the SN95 Mustang as well.

Some Ford people also visited Mustang sites to get imput directly from owner-enthusiasts... and actually told posters they were doing this!

Scott said he was mailing out airline tickets and hotel passes to those of us in that group, remember?
