. You managed to miss my point entirely which was that when you're stopped or crawling at 5 mph on the on ramp waiting to merge, you are not revving to 3-4 grand. Then when you go to put your foot down hard... you are gonna get lag. It's not hard, but it makes things less predictable. Give me honkin 350 cid v8 with no lag anyday.

I'm sure some folks like em, and good for them. For me - no thanks. 8.5-9.5 lb/HP for an aftermarket blown setup just doesn't get me excited.
I won't comment on the looks of the car (or the "competitors" it listed - the WRX and Evo). To each their own.

So it can run some impressive times after some warranty-voiding "factory" add-ons. And for under $30k. I guess I'm not overly impressed. There are a lot of cars that can pull of this feat. And the article is pretty vague when describing certain aspects, such as handling, "it's probably pretty nimble."
It's close enough to an Evo pricetag not to win me over. Cool that it's offered nonetheless.

I never understood the:
"Let's put a bunch of money into the pipsqueak motor" and run 12's philosophy.
I got a better idea... let's put half the money into a real motor and run 10's... or 9's... or 250mph... or whatever turns you on...
