Solstice replacing Sunfire?

I doubt it...

G6 is going upscale from where even the Grand Am was. I thought the Solstice had a chance to be made as a 2+2 coupe as well...wasn't it?

THAT car could replace a Sunfire. But a V6 only G6, station wagon Vibe and 2 seat Solstice? Sorry...it ain't gonna work...

There was talk of a back seat. When Buick was thinking of basing the Bengal off of it, it was supposed to be a 2+2.

This was the same story when the Colorado was going to be introduced by Chevy. GMC had noting to fill its Somoma gap and at the GM desiced to re-badge the Colorado for GMC.

GM will realize this and rebadge the Cobalt for Pontiac.

The good news is GM is moving closer to building the Solstice which if done right will be a great car for GM and Pontiac.

From the conversations I've had with "people", the Solstice will NOT be marketed as a entry level commuter car. It will be marketed as a sports car.
